Tigger's Bouncing!!!!

really[:0] i bet there was oil everywhere too[:0] ...I seem to remember as a child a guy down the road running his engine with the rocker cover off..a morris minor! ...

also the rocker cover was very loose and Tigger had an oil leak.....no prizes for guessing where it was lol...so a bonus is a nice dry engine now[8D]

Oh just a note for anyone else doing this job with little experience like me...heres a tip! ...

to enable the turning of the engine I temp made the alternater belt very tight so I could turn the engine by pulling the fan round....(after I had got the engine nice and hot) ...just remember to set it right again before starting up:D

yes Mark purring like a Tigger kitten[8D][8D] well I think so from what I can hear besides the awful clutch bearing noise lol ...sounds great if I put my foot on the clutch:D:D

I had the same problem on Harvey, those pesky rocker cover screws. Spring washers are a good mod I think:I

Too right[xx(] It was a crap design, no rocker shaft but each pressed steel rocker was pivoted on it's own stud and found it's own running position. I had a rocker wear almost right through once:I there was a little bulge on the top of the rocker where the push rod was about to poke through

oh yeah and another job I done today was to replace the plastic clip thingy that holds the caravan door open...Oliver kindly slammed the door open and broke the old one in a strop...bless him

Gosh! ...even with my humble amount of experience though it is so satisfying to be able to achieve good results ...I have been spoilt by driving around in Cazz's Prius for a few days...I find that petrifying to even think about opening the bonnet[:0] ..it has 2 engines side by side, one petrol and the other electric...

Panky, no he smiled at me like butter would'nt melt:)

Tim, yeah, the first attempt took me an hour, got it down to about 20 mins at the last attempt[8D] just can't wait to sort the exhaust now[8D]

Hmm...discovered a VERY tiny leak in the rdiator today...just on the filler neck as it joins the top of the rad..it's barely anything, just a few tiny little bubbles hissing...I know its a bit of a bodge but do you reckon a dab of Araldite will do the trick?? or has anyone a suggestion??

''COMMER'EnSayThat''

Not sure how long araldite will last with the heat, I used steel stick on a pin hole in Harveys cylinder head, it's lasted 18 month so far:I no harm in trying but budjet in to get it soldered up when you can.
