Went for £2000 pound the other day but is now back for £1700. Anyone know it? Is it worth the money?

If you don't mind the modifications made (they ain't my cup of tea personally, but the wheels are tasty), then it's probably pretty good for the money - the metal looks to be fairly sound. A visit before you buy would be a very good idea.

The ebay buyer may have walked away when he saw it, it's always best to view before buying. I really can't remember what it was like, when I sold it, can't have been great for £195 :I

Mmmmm thanks for replies, I am new to the whole commer thing, Difference from commer to Dodge? I know there are certain differences in design but basicaly the same van aren't they????
There is a Dodge for sale for £1000 on Ebay, Doti i think it has been called, that is closer to me.
Are commers more desirable than Dodges? Need info pls peeps.

As you say basically the same, things like starter motor and lights are the main difference as well as the obvious plastic grin - but they are all part of the final version - you either like them or you don't. Another thing to consider is that no Spacevan will be tax exempt so you will be coughing up a few quid every year. Although mattstra has put a lot of work into the van there is still a bit to do (like paint) so budget carefully. As an unfinished project I think it is a tad too dear but then again if it is as good underneath as the bodywork looks maybe worth bargaining down a bit.
Dotti1 is fairly well known - I've seen it once a couple of years ago and it did a look nicely done mild custom although it did have a few problems and seems to have suffered a little bit since then and now looks a little forlorn. All the fluted lower panels and seams have been either replaced with flat panels or skimmed over - so be wary of what lies beneath - it may be perfectly solid but then again.....

Cheers Panky,

I like the Commer more i think, and the tax free side, helps with my 69 mk1 escort, in no rush at the moment, every week that passes means a little extra saved for that perfect commer, it's out there i can smell it and it's mine, lol.

also you may have to pay a few quid extra for tax but you may also get less rust as they are not as old [?] I quite like the plastic grin in a funny sort of way :I & the modifications to that are growing on me too :D nothing like a Dodgy Commer :) don't forget you can buy 6mths tax if you only using the van for the summer ;)
