erm i took thermostat out last year and cant remember which way it goes back. im probably being very think but can anyone help

The slightly domed bit faces the radiator, the stat opens into the cover.

had a bit of a nightmare. housing cracked. just to make sure when my new one comes i get it in the right way. do you mean this way as in the pictures below

Bummer with the housing[V] I managed to crack two before I decided to make my own:I
It fits the other way round.
I gave you duff info before sorry - it actually opens on the engine side[8)]

Unfortunately they seem to be prone to breaking[V] I'd already made the housing that bolted to the head so it was only fitting that I did the rest. My advise is lots of sealant - and be very gentle nipping it up:I
