Just a thought. On minis the less blades on the fan the better, which is why the competition engines run 4 blade fans.
Probably because it's lighter and the engines ar usually screaming at 8000+rpm - at that speed there would be plenty of air being pulled (pushed) through the rad. They wouldn't be bothered about air flow at tick-over and low speeds:I
got the injectors back - all new and tiddly - first three back in with no problem
4th one, put in, just nipped up the clamping yolk, not even close to the torque setting when "dink" the yolk snapped in half, must have been a small crack / weakness in it. Will see if I can source another. bugger bugger bugger bugger bugger !!!!
8 blade fan turned up - but the bolt holes pcd is a touch too big - I might be able to get it on a dividing head on the milling machine at work to see if I can fettle it without throwing it out of balance
