Congratulations on getting ultra cool curtains and for finally getting the Dog home. I loved reading your report on the journey from Woolfy back to your place. So there we are then: Commerlife has started proper! I'm very pleased for you, Lee, just like I know all the others are too. :)

is there a list on here on the best oils for the gearbox and the diff, and does anyone recommend any additives to improve them?

just had a call from the guys checking my injectors - all four are weeping, 2 quite badly so all need new nozzles. £140 all in - but hopefully it will improve things

EP90 in the diff (or whatever the equivalent is these days) Don't use any additives anywhere, they can knacker up the seals[xx(]

How refreshing

Just had an email from Kenlowe fans. They have looked at my application and have recommended a full cooling system flush before going to the expense of a fan - they are of the opinion that there should be sufficient cooling allready there - they did suggest adding a booster fan rather than replacing the existing mechanical - my other option is to make some light gauge ducting to more accurately force all the air through the radiator

I thought the Kenlowe is more about saving power than better cooling over the belt driven fan.

You should get better mpg with the Kenlowe if set up properly (no idea how much, though). I just wonder how long the fan would take to break even...

just took the Radiator off to give it a decent flush through - to be honest it wasnt too bad. Took the thermostat cover off to flush through the engine block - guess what, no thermostat! thats probably why it takes so long to warm up - very bad for a diesel

just off the T'internet again - have ordered a new oil filter and a fuel filter conversion kit to change from a paper & bowl filter to a more modern cartridge type - also ordered the missing thermostat. I have noticed I have a glass jar type fuel reservoir just before the lift pump - it might get in the way of the K&N filter, does it do anything, its not in the engine manual?
