To be honest the last couple of days was a bit of a mare and ive been pulling my hair out to make sure everything was going to be ok for the m.o.t run, what with the van not really being on the road for quite some time, we kept having little hic ups that we have had to iron out. Firstly the bloody horn wouldnt work, so we fixed that, then the wipers worked one minute and then not the next, so we had to sort that out, and then lastly i went to go for the m.o.t only to find out that i had no clutch pedal, it was all sloppy and nothing there, b-ll-cks i thought whats gone wrong now, as only a week or so ago when we were sorting out the brakes etc everything was fine with the clutch. anyway after a short delay i found that the slave cylinder on the gear box had somehow seized in the open position, after a few gentle taps on the side and hey presto, perfect clutch pedal resumed. On the way to the mot station and back again, the old girl drove sweet as a nutand never missed a beat ,with good oil pressure, the temp gauge reading nice. Me and the dog had lots of admirers on the way, and also one or two wollys asking for ice creams,(the cheeky sods)haha. the mot man couldnt belive how good and solid the van was underneath, his actual comment was , built to bloody last these were, haha i thought, you should come and see the others down at my yard then, maybe you will change your mind mate.Anyway everything went nice and smooth without any advisories what so ever on the mot.phewww what a relief,i need a nice cold beer now.
