Hey Woolfy, that van is looking great how do you get all the paint off the aluminium side panels, is it done with the sander or do you use chemicals?
Regards
Dave (Moleys other half)

hi the paint is taken off with alot of bloody hard work and elbow grease. first you can try and take off the top layers using paint striper and alot of scrapeing, but the under coat is a different kettle of fish all together. i had to use the da sander for hours and hours before it was all removed. seriously its taken me three days or more in total to remove it. i think the van will be better for it in the long run though, as it had loads of layers of paint on it where people had just kept adding more and more over the years. hopefully the van will turn out to be one of the best we have done over the last couple of years. i hope so anyway, as like i said earlier on another thread its also looking like it will be one of the last ones done here for a while.as im looking at other options and avenues at the moment.[:0];)
