Well apologies for not being on here for a while - Following my move to the deepest countryside of Berden I am still awaiting T'internet!

I went up to see the Dog a couple of weekends ago, and im afraid i was as much good as a chocolate fireguard when Woolfy asked how i wanted it finishing off in terms of paint scheme and interior layout.

To be honest I havent a clue, I just need it functional and similar to the lovely green one parked in front of mine - I also walkied away with a plastic wrapper which im supposed to be finding a paint code to match (nice deep navy blue)

So apologies woolfy if im a bit frustrating - Just go with what you think is best - including the white stripe tyres with powder coat rims and proper chrome work - and of course the decent cab fit out that you described - and i will just keep sending money until you tell me to stop!

The Dog is on its way....

heres a question - Dog was registered in december 1977.(S reg)
He has the old style commer front with the Large DODGE badge (now just DO_G_)
however....
in my new set of piccies is another S reg commer but it has the square plastic air grill with the small dodge badge moulded in - a completely different look
any ideas why or when the change over occured?

The Dog is on its way....

"Dodge badged Commers" as opposed to the "Dodge Spacevan" (with plastic grill) were around for a short period, other vans like yours include RAN and Frodo

can't remember :I get a copy of Olyslager Commer [8D]
with the coming of the link-up between Rootes & the giant American Chrysler Corporation in 1964,Dodge truck U.K. production was transferred from Kew,Surrey to join forces with Commer at the new Rootes Commercial Vehicle plant at Dunstable,Beds.in 1967,as part of a group centralization programme.Understandably,a certain amount of 'dual marqueing'(Badge Engineering)took place. This process meant that selected models from both the Commer or a Dodge nameplate according to the particular marketing conditions.Hence in certain overseas territories the Commer 1500 and 2500 models are designated Dodge K120 & K160 respectively
