yep, just got an email back it 1275 +vat+60 quid delivery. They look a lot different from what i have fitted - but i suppose once you strip it back to the block and head it should be similar. I dont think the price is too outrageous bearing in mind the challenger tank only used the perkins as a starter motor to get the main lump running.
Not sure whether the differences are more than skin deep with a marine engine. We had a BMC 1.8 engine in a narrowboat and that used to run at a maximum of about 1200 revs, but would plod away for hour after hour at 900 to 1000 revs.
