The Welsh Connection

Greetings from wildest west wales, this is my first post so will say hello first - nice to know there are some more commer nutters out there.

If anyone would like a cracking weekend out I can recommend the Orllwyn Teifi vintage show in Croeslan in the mid west of Wales on the last bank holiday weekend in August.

It is a pretty big event in lovely scenery and as well as a classic car and commercial class it has a special classic camping section, which I entered with my beloved '71 autosleeper PB. The good part is that you are invited to make a donation to the chosen charity but otherwise it is free camping and free admission so makes for a cheap holiday. I parked up in display area and didn't need to turn a wheel apart from going on lovely road run with the steamers and classics to a country pub with a nice beer and a car park full of beautiful machinery. You do have the option of a separate camping field if you want to escape the goldfish bowl effect.

I went expecting to be the only commer in the village as there don't seem to be many in the area but ended up parking behind another autosleeper and seeing another highwayman in the public car park.

Anyway, if anyone fancies joining me with the classic campers this year the link with phone numbers is

if this is out of action then search for orllwyn teifi comes up easily enough.

A perfect event for those of us with commerdation.

Enjoying the forum, will have all sorts of questions to fire at you all!
Keep motoring

hi,welcome to the mad house :)that sounds like a nice w/e away [8D] can we have pic's of your pb?do you have any pic's from last year?

Commerdation, wish I'd thought of that one :D. Sound like a great show hopefully someone hanging around here can make it :)

I have to moderate/approve all post in the the Shows section - I have no idea why but this forum is like a commer in its quirky ways!!

Doesn't look like my last posting has got past the apparently dreaded moderator - am new to forums so not sure why it didn't make it.
Will try again and take out all the sex and violence.
Have a few photos of classic campers and road run at show ....will try a couple and see if they make it this time

Thanks for the replies, good to know there are some like minds out there.

four star commerdation

Will mention that you need to be booked in advance if you wanted to go - show insurances don't allow you to roll up on the day - I think that is why the public car park looks so interesting. Must get round to finding my entry form - I got sent one in march - how am I supposed to remember where I put it after all this time[:0]
