roof off not to bad so far there is some rust but not rotten it has a funny sprung bar thing going on to help the roof open but I dont think Im going to refit them as they seem to put strain on the frame if there are any other wanderers out there whats your thoughts theres some JCb bonnet gas struts on ebay Im thinking it might be a modern remadey
hi there Iv got a couple of questions so I hope you don't mind me hassling you is the roof supposed to sit higher from the gutter at the front when folded down and are the end boards supposed to be screwed in on hinges or free floating as it looks like there are no original holes just the ones from the new hinges if you have any pics of your roof up and down it might help

thanks for that it helps its the old picture paints thing. I will put some pictures up of what I found when I took mine apart so you have some idea of what you are going to find LOL
Iv just had a moment of I told you so, the wife said get new brake slave cylinders and I didnt and guess what its the casing that's cracked but thanks martinmaltas Iv got 2 new ones and some good advice on wheels. and the real bonus is that he is only 40 miles away from wear I live and only 10 miles away from were Im working tomorrow so I'm picking them up and Ill get a peep in a black belts back yard

well its been some time since I did this and it looks way worse than it is it had been mended with MDF and wood filler and now its got new hard wood that I paid to be cut to size which was well worth the cost. Iv fitted new piano hinges with a nice rubber seal that came from woolies trim Iv de trimmed it and it is going for paint on Thurs with a bit of look but I am at that point were you start to think will I remember how it all goes back together . I think Iv been very lucky so far as the mirth mobiel has had a very good re build at some point I keep finding new bits all over and although some repairs are a bit iffy all in all its going well

Those lift up hinged lids to the seat bases are not original. They must make access to the underfloor gas locker difficult and prevent the seats from being used in their forward facing position.
