The time has come . . .

Gonna give her a wee cosmetic make-over starting with new seats soon hopefully. I got new rubber seals with the purchase and all rubber in the pop-top needs replaced, which you can see in the photos. The floor is ply-lined which seems to have been done fairly recently so I went out today and found some funky lino to replace the carpet. Apart from that I just intend to drive her and have fun with her for the moment :)No overdrive . . .well I don't think there is.

Her name was Lola . . .;)
 
cool m8. i need to get a seal for my poptop soon now that you mention it. i dont evan have 1 lol. im not sure what im doing seat wise, i may fit 3 from something newer or i may try using my dads pipe bender to make a metal folding bed for the cab. for now my seats are ok though lol. she looks a good solid van m8 so im sure you will have great fun and we will probably bump into each other at a meet at some point :)

Just had a wee look at your van. I love the traditional seats - if I could find ones like those in NI I'd be very happy. Failing that I'll settle for big new comfy ones. Good luck with the progress on your van!!:)

cheers m8, she is getting there, got loads done the last few days :) i like my seat as well. but im thinking it will be alot harder to find 1 matching 1 than 3 of my choice :(

like we said mate anything can fit if you make it. i like the idea of full leather seats from a wedge shape rover. or citroen xantia

sorry - that was entirely unintentional!! That's the last picture I took before the light disappeared. I'm dying to admire my own handiwork but that will have to wait 'til tomorrow. I'll make sure I post a couple more pictures.

Have a look at MGF seats. I've got them in my Beetle. They look a lot like commeracer's Jag seats but are a bit more low profile. I got two in leather from the local breakers for £70
 
I love those seats! I'd thought about poking aroundthe breakers but it helps now knowing what to look for. Perfect - thank you!!

look for front seats m8 lol. they all need similer mods to fit so makes no real diff where they come from :)

they come from a rover 75. if you are looking for something easier to fit you could try any flat fronted van. some are bound to be the same if not close enough;)
