The panel van project

I know its been a while but ive managed to get back on the panel van the last couple of days been hectic as ive been doing a full body restoration on an uno turbo.I recon there was more rot on it than a commer! Anyway thats off for paint so has left me with lots of space in my workshop:D
Managed to chop all the flute section off to see what its like behind[V]

Ive left a lip on the original panel and joggled the edge all the way along to fit my new fluted panel

I bet if you cut most vans across the flutes there would be a fair bit of grot in there. I thought sybhil had all the sides done when you brought it as they were a different colour[?]

It's surprising how little new metal you actually had to graft in - it looked a LOT worse when the outer panels where first removed.

Sybhil is missing her skirts & has rivited on sides :Iflutes missing, poorly peak, rot in the bottom of the doors, gutters need work & the rear corners so nothing major to worry about :D

The worst bit was where the rear inner arch and van floor all join together where the 3 skins all join up cut the lot out with the plasma cutter and made up all three sections will take a pic for you but hard to see it now its all together. But no the vans not that bad alot of surface rust.

growing??....oh, you mean the jacket..Thats mould man! it's 58 years old for flip sake:D
