Well the RC40 went on ok, and we even managed to fit a K&N from my stash [^]
Rich left and came back with overheating and "flat" running [xx(]
so an investigation was launched and the main jet was enlarged, the accelerator pump was set to long stroke and the manifold to filter housing pipe was blanked off and the carb/manifold bolts tightened.
another test revealed much improved running but still very hot [xx(]
It turned out to be the gauge that was playing up, as the engine was not actually overheating :I
