two vans being broken at ours let us know too. GOD it makes you really angry come & camp in Sybhil in Norfolk for a week sounds like you need too.

Personally i wouldn,t bother with the insurance, as they cause more trouble than they,re worth

Everyone is right in what they are saying, my sister had a car stolen and burnt out, i recovered it and stored it for a while for the insurance to come and look at and they were gratefull and compensated me because it saved them the hassle. Do not let them take the van you may lose it altogether or if they give you the option of buy back they may charge you storage and it will be horrendous, they can come to storage unit to view. just get it moved as fast as possible to stop other deadheads doing any more damage to it.

hi bob ive just signed in and seen these awful pictures of whats happened to your van mate, i cant belive that there is some fu--ed up dick heads out there who would do such a thing like this, not just to this van but to anyones vehicle. as you already knew i voted this van as best in show at the commer fest for its origonality and well preserved state, im absolutly gutted for you mate and if there is anything i can do to help just give me a tinkle on the phone. i have some space at the unit also if you want to bring it here for safe keeping. if you have any trouble getting money out of the insurance etc im sure we could all help out and get it back on the road in no time, you can have free use of the workshop mate and im sure everyone will pitch in to help. keep your chin up mate.[V][!]

Dear God! We just saw this thread and the photo's. It's unbelievable that someone would do this. I hope they catch the little sods and damage something they love as punishment.

At least when reading this thread it's clear that for every little sh*t out there that would do something like this, there are dozens of decent people on the forum that have already offered their sympathy, help and resources to get you guys back on the road.

Guy`s what can i say, i`m totally overwhelmed by all your messages of help and support, i don`t know what to say, thanks doe`snt seem enough.
If it is of an agreed value like you said on the phone, see if you can come to an agreement where they pay you the full value of the van, minus the buy-back price to keep the van (without it being taken away). Get the van repaired and back on the road with an age related plate and you get a good chunk of insurance money to help with the shock

What an utterly meaningsless tragedy! [V] I really cannot believe what I see in the photos. Feel so incredibly sorry for you, Bob. And it is also a terrible loss for the whole Commer-unity.
That said, I'll rephrase that last comment. This is incredibly sad, but the van is not lost - as this bird will fly again one day. I am 100% certain about that.
If ever there was a van needed to be resurrected from the dead, it would be this one. And reading previous comments on this post, I would almost say that the process has already started.
This Phoenix will rise again and shine even brighter than before!

like i said earlier if you want the van to come here at my workshop just give me a call on 07968 634055, and it shall be done. also if it does come here im sure that when we have the commer meet we could all chip in and get the ball rolling with the revival of the van by lending many pairs of hands. can i also ask is this your only mode of transport or not. because if it is i am more than willing to lend you the blue camper which i came to martins in to you for as long as needed until your up and running again. the van is only sitting here in the workshop anyway collecting dust. and i wont charge you a penny for the use mate. just let me know.
