This is the link to the news report about the arson attacks in Telford, where Telford Bob's camper was set alight[:(!][V] Not only a sad day for Commer fans, but a sad insight into our society.

This is awful, you can only ask - why.

Ditto the last comments. This country has it's fair share of idiots. What a great shame, but sounds like the outcome could have potentially have been a lot worse.

These really choked me up when I first opened them up, the full extent of the mindless damage.

I don't know what else to say except worse has been brought back to life.

I'm hearbroken for you, this is dispicable.

Moley and Brian the Snail :)

WE MADE IT TO COMMERFEST http://www.livecountdown.com/countdownclock/countdown.aspx?id=21370.

the main thing now is to stop any further damage as the body seems to have escaped
im sure between us all on here we could donate a fair proportion of parts/bits/expertise to restore it to its former glory.its too good and too rare to write off
first offer from us at rustoration land is if you want us to recover it to our place and keep it safe and dry under cover whilst the insurance is sorted we would do so on tuesday,we are only down the A5 just outside lichfield
come on folks lets pull together and not let the bastards win again

I never realised it was this lovely PA. Damn they're horrible pictures. Trying to look on a postive for you, this still does look very restorable from first impressions. You only need to look at what Woolfy and Martin have tackled to see that they've taken on far worse. Don't let the b@5t@rds get you down.

We will be able to help with quite a few parts, even possibly the correct pop top and windows;)
Karen has offered to make the curtains :)

Hoofing monkey pants:eek: absolute ****** retards!!! Can't believe this. Jeez, not sure what i can help with but i will in any way i can. What with this and Jim Sharpe's van that was hit by a tractor at Glastonbury. A good and bad year for Commer's it seems:(

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!

OH MY GOD!!!
I had no idea it was one of "my" vans.
Any parts and help I can offer let me know, I certainly have an engine, front screen and door glass that you are welcome to have. Whatever you do do not let the insurance company take the van away its certainly restorable and well worth doing.
If you need it transported anywhere for work, ie Woolfys or Martins my recovery truck is at your disposal...no charge.
This van will live again!

What ever I can do I am at your disposal, not got much in the way of spares but if there is something in my biscuit tin that's of any use its yours.

Bob, I have your number, if you need somewhere to stick the van I will help you out as I am only a few miles away.

Do not let the insurance company take it!!!!! It will be left outside and will end up worse than it is now as soon as it gets damp / wet. You are welcome to stick it next to my van and I will make sure it is kept dry and safe.

Barb was texting Bernie and Heidi earlier on and told them of the terrible news, they were obviously upset like every one else - they voted this van their favourite at Commerfest.
