telescopic rear shocks

anybody had a go at making brackets to fit these yet?

Commerjules did recently on his van, but I got the impression he wasn't going to put them into production as such.

They work really well. I have made a set for my own van and a set for Martin. Im happy to make you a set Sam. But Im pretty sure there isnt enough demand for "production" (tell me if Im wrong commerfans) ie its not worth building tooling; so they are hand made so pricey sorry.

Thanks Jules but i think i'll have a go myself first, especially as i've no idea what the shocks i've got originally came off so the brackets are going to have to be made to fit.

did you angle yours inwards (to make use of the original shock mounting area) or did you weld plates onto the inner wing and keep them fairly vertical?

hmm, wonder if it would make sense to fit a rear anti roll bar while i'm down there...

The troublesome part was designing the brackets to allow prevention of bottoming out on the shocks while still allowing enough travel to enable the wheel to clear the arch to be able to remove it (ie on a puncture) without unbolting the assembly.

Did the photos ever get shown anywhere? I am looking to fitting these:

Still awaiting dimensions, but they should be a pretty good match to the commer, the fronts look like the will sit happily in there (i am going with shorter springs of course) and the backs should be fairly well damped for heavy weight (although with the t25 being rear engined, i do worry the damping rate may not be correct).

I have a T25 that i intend to lower anyway, so maybe i will just order them anyway! Worth an experiment :)
