What a mixed weekend of weather[:0] We arrived on Friday evening in bright warm sunshine and set up camp.
We spent a very pleasant evening drinking tea and eating bikkies with Bernie and Heidi over at their club stand, strong stuff that tea it had a strange effect on my legs

Saturday was a scorcer and I got a bit crispy in the sun but the amount of wonderful machines on show was a delight, OK there was a line up of brand new Focus ST's, a 10 plate four door Porshe thing and numerous other cars that would have to wait a long time for free road tax but it was advertised as a classic and performance car show:I
This one was a right dog:I
Harvey ready to meet his public
The heat was exhausting and we were really looking forward to even more cups of tea and a BBQ

but right on que as soon as the match touched the fire lighter I felt the first drops of rain - and it hammered it down[V] Undetered we pressed on under the shelter of the club gazzebo and prepared a banquet of fat sausages and meatball, tomatoe and red onion kebabs - washed down with lashings of 'tea'

The weather didn't improve and an early night was had by all, the next morning wasn't much different.
The rain kept off for a while and even more classics (and a few other thing) arrived.

I loved this
I spotted this purring onto the show ground and as it parked just over the road I had to go and check it out.
What conversion is it I, maybe a Clearway, asked - an Autosleeper the owner said[?] Funniest looking Autosleeper I've ever seen, I thought. He bought it off the original owner and all I can guess is that he used Autosleeper as a generic term for a camper, all the same it was a cracker[^] The guy had fitted a 2.0 litre V4 in place of the 'gutless' 1.7 that was originally installed in the hope he could tow his Mk1 Escort around, but even with this mighty lump he was struggling to get over 55mph without a trailer - sounded quite nice though
Summer's here.....
