We're back and knackered after a brilliant weekend

Many thanks go to Bernie and Heidi, Jon Laura and little Miss Fliss, Trev and Sue, Colin and Helen, John and Claire, Ivan in the I-Van, Steve and Rich Williams in the big Brown Beast and Lucy and Paul for looking after Harvey for us and supplying us with musical interludes. We also had a few forum visitors PaulJL turned up and lowered the tone, Edward (OnTheRoadAgain) breezed in with a flourish of hugs and back slaps - and a very nice present for me to make up for arriving last year with three empty whisky bottles after promising a tasting session

. Jaqueline and her family made the near 200 mile trek from Kent to see the vans in the flesh and went home determined to find a nice coach-built for them to start making memories in

And Andy (JimmyVan) and his son who were both brimming with enthusiasm

Now it was soon after this I had an unfortunate accident

We had a few tins and all of a sudden it was very dark and I needed to get rid of the re-cycled beer so tottered over to the Portaloos that had been conveniently placed nearby. Like I said it was dark, even darker in the confines of the Portaloo and I needed some light to see where I was aiming - my phone has a nice glow when it's switched on so I fumbled in my pocked, fumbled again when I got it out (the phone) and watched mesmerised as the glowing device prescribed a perfect arc in the air as it laded dead centre down the pan

Luckily (?) it landed half submerged on the wadge of tissue the previous visitor to the loo had left behind and I only had to go in wrist deep to retrieve my Samsung before it could slip into oblivion. More luck was at hand as right next to the toilet was a water trough for the sheep and deer that usually roam the park and I was able to give the phone, and my hand, a good swill off (hope no animals suffer later

) So unfortunately this meant I couldn't take any pics on Saturday as the phone was drying out on top of the fridge vent so those posted will be from Barb and Lucy

The good news is it's working again even though it seems to have a bit of a blue tinge about it

- no one wanted to shake my hand for a while after that, cant understand it

Saturday wasn't as wet as forecast had predicted, so visitor levels were down, but a constant trickle of visitors to the stand kept us busy and I was in full schmooze mode

I had three of the judges admiring Bonnies interior and I'm convinced at least two of them have started hankering after a Commer

The visit must have worked though as we bagged 2nd place best club stand in a show called Passion for Power - not bad for a bunch of old vans

John and Claire walked away with the Best Commer trophy for their lovely Hadrian camper/coffee van and Bernie and Heidi got a 2nd place Judges Choice award for the very splendid James the Jennings, all that hard work paid off guys

Great show, great vans and great people
Saturday Night and Trevor gave us a bit of a fright
