Tank in the air!

How excited I am !

New alu tank for the Bluebird was picked up at Tim's on Monday and is now "en route" to Norway. :)

Cleverly disguised (in the papers) as a water tank, there are high hopes that I will avoid the claws of Customs and Excise, and escape with a nominal charge for the import.

But best of all, the Bluebird noe receives a much wanted bit of essential equipment, and - if this finally goes my way - this will be the first and most important step of the camper FINALLY hitting the Scandinavian roads this summer.

I even have a provisional plan of a family holiday in Denmark this summer in it. Might be a bit of a tall order all things considered, but he who don't dare don't win ! :)

I know this is a "used up" term, but I literally can't wait ! :D

Yes, it has indeed. Landed a week ago, in fact. Unwrapped in extreme excitement by yours truely and our two children (they were, in fairness, more excited about all the cardboard - and the fact that they could make a play boat out of it. :D )

Christine had really done a sterling packaging job on it, and I think we may even spent longer getting all the cardboard and protective strips etc. and all the RED TAPE (haha!) off it, than she spent getting it all ready. Hard as it may seem to believe this to be the case..

Tank now "in da house" and ready for some Commer action once the awful winter eases the grip a bit. Exciting times ahead indeed ! :)

Haha red tape....they are a nightmare to pack. You will have to excuse me I have resorted to brandy its gone t head!
Winter needs to realise spring is here.
Enjoy glad its landed safely & now in da house...

It was impressively well packed, Chris, that was my main point. It was so well packed, that it took forever to remove the packaging material. A worthy testament to the packer, I'd say ! Superb work :)

They use to get packed with egg boxes & all sorts! Thank you jostein! Hope it's not a difficult job fitting it.

SNOW? you light weight - dont you know it almost got down to single figures here last week and I was in the garage (back of) working my socks off to keep warm;)
