Thanks Don that great information[^] Any chance you can scan the wiring diagram and post it here please.
Just one fly in the ointment - it's a solid green wire, no red trace but I think I'll go with that. I wont be connecting it up for a few days yet so if anyone finds out any different please let me know

Well did a quick lash up under the bonnet with the information provided and..................BANG......on it worked
Thanks to all who have helped and to Don for the final confirmation, what a brilliant forum this is[^]
I'll post pics of the final installation once it's done[8D]

Glad you sorted it. Went to the workshop this morning and mine only has two wires, both black, which connect it to the printed circuit board. No response from the Renault site yet either!

Yep I'll be able to count the turns to my hearts content, although what good it will do me I don't know. I think it looks rather nice though
