Swedish Maidstone

Interesting van. Is it right hand drive?
It shares an interesting feature with Rupert; the towball fitted to the rear step. I assumed this was an aftermarket bodge, but wonder now whether it was a standard fitting. I wouldn't trust it. There again, anything heavy enough to bend the step would be too heavy for Rupert to pull!

Yroi's towbar was on the back of the step too.. not quite like this the step was attached to chassis and the metal was pretty hardcore. However it was a recipe for banged shins

I've seen this van before - featured in a Swedish classic car magazine many years ago. One of the staff writers owned it (probably the guy now selling it), and the guy was described as the quirky one owning oddballs like the Commer (probably unique in Sweden this one). It is a three seats up front Maidstone in original condition, and in incredibly good shape back then. I have no reason to doubt that it still is.

In is a LHD vehicle, yes. A series II or IIa, with the small rectangular mesh grille rather than the solid front panel. If I had six grand to spare.... but I don't.
