yes, they throw approximately half the catch back dead - approx 1 million tons per year, all to apparantly preserve fish stocks

The EU gov't is a disgrace. No auditing firm, anywhere in the world, will take on the job of going through the EU accounts. They haven't been signed off for years. The last person brought in by the EU to sort out the mess made it clear they were going to expose all the corruption and name names. A few months later the EU removed her from her post. Go figure!
