yes guys as you can see theres rust lurking in all of the usual places on sunny, even the steps which hang down were far to gone to save, i tried them out and it was like crossing a rope bridge with frayed ropes, you felt like it was going to brake any second from under your feet, which it did do by the way. now that most of the rott has been removed from the drivers side to begin with, we shall be making a start this weekend on the best bit, (the six million dollar rebuild). we can rebuild it.nr nr nr nr ,nr nr nr nr nr nr nr. and also in the pictures are a few pics of te bumpers i picked up from the chromers today which anyone can purchase from me on the exchange basses that i mentioned a few months ago.pics aint to brill as i took them tonight in a hurry.
got stuck in today on old sunny , we managed to get the front floor pan cut out and repaired the bottom five or six inches of metal around the bottom of the inner front wheel arch, we also got the new front inner cill welded into place along with the middle inner cill. i forgot to take me camera with me though so i will have to call by tomorrow and snapp away for you all. pics will follow on soon. watch this space.
being the person who makes the panels does make things a bit simpler i suppose, but still alot of work involved.
I imagine it would , im a qualified welder and its a lot more involved than people realise to get right , seeing as all this stuffs available i might try and find a camper myself , went to look at one in Poole ages ago , lots needed doing but as i didnt know what panels were available the thought of making my own put me off a bit , Cant get many repair panels for my commer imp , second hand mostly
panels can be made for any thing, apparently there is a man a few miles away from me who will make any thing you need replacing so long as you have got it still as a pattern, thats if woolfy can't help of course
