Orange and Green should be fairly distinctive? What a bummer[V], mine is stored on the top floor of canary wharf should anyone want to steal it:D Oh no I shouldn't have let that slip[:eek:)]

We can all help by carefully eyeballing any vans that come up for sale that we are not familiar with.
Hopefully its just some scum having "a laugh" and it will turn up relativly unscathed

I have had a discussion with a passer by on a bike about the scrap value of a van (pissed me right off, and Skye) I behaved diplomatically. Just before the Cov meet, the morning of as I remember. I corrected him as he was obviously blind or extremly short sighted. Another friend with a commer had a similar circumstance. Seems like scrap value may be going up to a particular social group within society. Krook locks may need to be enabled as the charm of the commer to these groups is blind. Skye usually lives outside of Oxford, however does come to visit for repairs and maintence. I knida act like the local neibourhood watch and have intervined with a couple of disarables. Lets hope I dont catch a commer theif, may have to turn him over!!!!!!

Again a rant to myself, I am developing prejudice, so correction, Him or Her, or they, them, the group, whoever, I guess I was insinuating only males nick commers, on reflection it could be anyone!

When you think about it there could be anyone watching these posts. Among friends our comments go no further and just get discussed, we have no way of knowing who may 'listen' in and take things the wrong way.

On a similar note, where I have my lock up the owners keep a couple of twin axle caravans. the yard has CCTV and a 6 foot spiked perimeter fence. The other day I noticed one had gone and asked the question if they'd sold it. The answer was no and that Gypsies had come in and unscrewed the hinges to the main security gates, lifted the whole gate clear and pulled the caravan away with a pick up transit!!

The owners looked back on the CCTV and noticed that a week or two earlier the transit had been in and the occupants asked if there was any scrap available!! A sort of recce I suppose.

Nothings safe these days so we have to keep an eye on our own property.

You know what, i was tinkering with the van the other day and a chap waltzed up my drive asking if i had any scrap. I gave him a couple of bits and he went off but you never know?

I often think the same in terms of upsetting people who maybe looking in too. Cards close to chests methinks and more usage of the PM function;-)

costs 10.00 to register an old mob ile to a trac king company,all you have to do is conceal it in your car etc,turn it to silent,keep it charged up at all times,if you car etc moves you get a call on your other no,they ask is it you,you say no not me & phone the police & obviously the tra cking company help them I have c c tv too & it has been used to con vict & is a good deterent.

The phone will lock onto different masts showing it is moving. Pain in the nether-regions though if they call you every time you go for a drive!;)

simple tracking device more info has been posted previously will see if I can find it.you can register your kids mobiles too[:0]
I am not sure what you do when you move your car,I think they just phone you & you have to give them your pass word.
