Se what I did there?:)

A couple of weeks ago, I went to a secret location to film the airport scenes for "The Crown series 2" on Netflix with the Karrier Bantam. It was supposed to be the airport baggage carrier, and I got to drive my little truck "in shot" as they say in the business.

The green screens enable them to cut and paste the small section of airliner into footage of the whole plane taken somewhere else. Very clever!

Lovely Art Deco terminal building there.

Look out for my little Karrier in the first series of "The Crown". In fact you can see it in the trailer at 1.02 on http://youtu.be/qTfo44bGXdg

Well worth a couple of days hanging around.

Apparently it's the most expensive TV series ever produced, they must have paid well;)
 
..................and judging by the set-up, a good chunk of that was spent at this shoot. Mind boggling quantities of people and stuff.
I'll avoid commenting on how well they paid!;)

I think we should start a "Karrier Bantam" section on this forum. We're such a minority pursuit, I doubt a dedicated forum would survive.

I'm in favor of that great idea, a little diversity is good. After all we're Commer fans we don't just love Commer campers;)
Maybe Admin could create a new section, I'd probably break something if I tried
 
I just like the forum for it's acceptance of diversity and sections like Readers Rides and Other Projects are always interesting , and thank you for tolerating others interjecting on others threads . Long may this forum enjoy the company of those that are contributing . Picture with wipers down. Wot, more than 28MPH?

They tried to make mine look like a splitty with a line of electricians tape down the screen. But when you look at the real thing, there's a lot more to it than that.

Low tech approach to a high speed car chase taken today . Shot is taken through the sun roof to simulate a drivers view. Performance enhancement to car was achieved post production by changing the speedometer readings. The rest of the allusion of high speed was down to the cars road holding and handling .
