Hi as you may recall I fitted a new fan belt last year. It's now squeaking, so I'm presuming it needs tightening again. So I undo the bolt again and slide it until the belts tighter?
Fit a bottle jack between the engine block and the alternator. Pump the jack to move the alternator away from the block thus tensioning the fan belt. Then do up the nut securing the alternator. 'Lower' the jack and remove it. Drive away happy until the alternator bearings break up because you made the belt too tight.
I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?
