Hi all, was driving on A1 again yesterday and spotted a REALLY nice van passing Stamford. I pulled into a layby so he could pass me so i could get a rather grainy pic on my phone whilst following him. Anyway i will use the pic if need be but will try reg plate first which is.

OWJ 209A

Haven't seen this type of van before so not sure what it is? Defo not a PB or PA.

According to DVLA, it's a 1963, 1592cc in green. That makes it a PA :p

This was the best i could do i'm afraid. Yeah it was green Martin and quiet clearly my knowledge is shot HAHAHA.

HI, RE THE COMMER SEEN ON THE A1 NR STAMFORD ON THE 31ST OF MAY LAST.
ITS A 1963 COMMER PARALANIAN REG NO OWJ209A ON ITS WAY TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS HOLIDAY. ITS NOW BACK AT HOME IN EAST YORKSHIRE (MISSION COMPLETED) WITHOUT SOMUCH AS A MISFIRE.
WE HAVE JUST GOT BACK HOME TODAY AND SEEN YOUR MESSAGE ON THE FORUM AND WAS VERY PLEASED WE HAVE BEEN SPOTTED ON OUR TRAVELS.

Dennis rang me tonight, they had a good round trip in Mildred, never missing a beat. I havn't seen Mildred yet, but she will be coming to Commerland soon, for a bit of maintainance :p

HI NOT VERY GOOD WITH LAP TOP YET BUT WHEN I GET A BIT MORE USED TO IT I WILL TRY AND SEND SOME MORE PICTURES OF MILDRED TO THE FORUM, ALSO AS MARTIN SAID MILDRED WILL BE GOING TO COMMERLAND SOON FOR THE REAR SPRINGS TO BE REPLACED (46 YEARS AND 2TON PLUS HAVE TAKEN THERE TOLL ON THEM).[8D]
 
I love it - a particular favourite of mine is the Paralanian - does it have a bath under the bench seat :)

one of the first commers I considered was a paralanian it had the front sceen out for new seal I think & was in lancashire or blackpool was this the one ?

hi, dont think this paralanian is the one from lancashire, we have had this vehicle since 1994 and the previos owner had her for eight years plus 2 previous owners in the sheffield area, must have been another parry methinks.
 
Ahh, Mildred hey. Glad you found the forum and i'm pleased to have spotted you;-) Infact i overtook you to get a look at the front and then pulled into a layby about 4 mile up the road to get behind you again. I only saw you're husband though??? Maybe you were making tea whilst driving along? HAHAHAHAHA!
