The owner Bob came out and they had a good chat and had a nosey in his van;) which he uses daily, infact he is going to Newark this weekend.

Oh yes, never seen it in the flesh but the wind turbine pole on the back and the low-down wipers are unmistakable[8D]
It's obvious this van gets used a lot and I'd love to see inside to see how it has evolved over the years to match the owners needs:)

Other news- It seems the skylight on this lovely van was damaged and the insurance company paid for a professional GRP mould to be made. Matt bought this for £10 and we hope to take this to Commerland during the week- so if you have a damaged or missing roof light (appx 6 x 2) -We have the technology! Mike/ Clarabel and Co

I think Moley has been looking for one since she bought Brian:)

Yes, Moley has been after a new skylight for ages.

What excellent news! Thanks so much for securing that mould, Matt. That will no doubt be very useful for several owners of early Highwaymen - possibly myself included.

:)

Heidi & I saw this van at a car show at Uttoxeter racecourse a couple of years ago a very nice van and even nicer guy. Well done Matt for finding the mould.

Talking of Leek, last night I stumbled on some photos of a brilliant old garage nearby.

Scroll down and you can see older pics showing how the site grew. It appears to be a haven for P6 Rovers now but would be a nice photo stop on a Commervoy.

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

The owner Bob lives in leek but is a frequent visitor to the autojumble at Newark. Panky the interior looked quite origanal but with a few mods here and there to make live easier. He was a smashing bloke i nearly missed him he was just going to get the friday fish and chips in his van.

I've met Bob at Newark auto jumble last August we parked next to each other and swopped contact details. Bob told me about the skylight but this was just as Brian was going in for resto, so I'll hopefully be able to get it done now when he comes back. Bob's van is brilliant, used all the time.
