After many years not seeing another approach out on the open road, on the tricky Aberdyfi to Machynlleth road mid-afternoon yesterday, a mid-blue Commer with a white roof and white pop-up top going west passed by.
The Daughter was thrilled!

I'm going upto cadair idris in a couple of weeks, just thought I'd mention it. Great spot.

Brave man, Andrew, but is there a long way round if your Commer refuses to go up;).

Foot is good, many steps, tricky at the summit. I went up as part of the Cader Idris Fell Race many moons ago. Enjoy.

Cadair Idris is lovely - not too mental, half our 'crew' managed a box of cider on the way round!

We did Snowdon earlier in the year, lots of snow, ice and fog - my god I was terrified. Wont be doing that again in a hurry.

It's tempting to take the train at Snowdon;)

This is the route we took from Dolgellau to Cader Idris but the climb doesn't really start until after the the P (car park) adjacent to Owens Farm

Have you planned your route Andrew?
