spotlights

I've just (re)fitted the spotlights to Molly (my morris minor) and they look pretty cool so I'm thinking about a set for the van. Does anyone have any pics of vans with spotlights (not the cobra - I'm not skilled enough to embedd them in the front panel!) How do I go about fitting them?

thanks

Rupert

tsk.. can't edit the original message!

I've just noticed JAY and RAN have spotties, I presume the fixing bolts are mounted through the bumper mounts?

That's quite normal.

If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?
Peggy's got an MOT !!! (not a lie)

Rans had a seperate switch I could pull up in the dark & flick a switch & just have the spots on or were the fogs [?]:I
They were mounted lower on or near bumper ?

Low ones on seperate switch usually fogs. Some have a switch to 'arm' the spots but they still will only come on with main beam.

I don't think Rans came on with main beam, the rest now makes sence,I prefer how Sybhils work & the position, but Rans ones were useful too.especially in the fog.

Its all to do with the height of mounting, if they are below bumper then they must be on a switch and they are fog lights to be used as appropriate, above bumper then they can be either switched or on with main beam and they are driving lights, hope that helps![8D];)

He who laughs last... thinks slowest!

good stuff thanks!

I think I'll mount mine above the bumper (with a hole or two through the bumper iron).

I always liked the spot light/fog light combo (preferebly with blue centres)
