Speedo Cable Issue

Hi all
I have the commer speedo head. And the Rapier overdrive gearbox. Which takes a different speedo cable end from the commer box. Any suggestions what I might do. Bearing in mind that it needs to be much longer than the std rapier unit

speedograph richfield i think is the company, they will make any cable you want. we had one made to suit the riley with a sierra g/box, cosy about £25

We can recommend these too. Ordered a cable off them on Friday evening for our Commer (commer speedo head and sierra gearbox) and it arrived yesterday. Depending on the length of cable you want £25 should cover it!

hello fontaine just high jacking a post with a quicky, how did you sort the gearstick linkage on the sierra box conversion[?] am thinking of doing one but with a vauxhall carlton gearbox, any help much appreciated.
 
I bet its easier than the Holbay mod:)

Now I am going to use a different speedo altogether, so its back to the drawing board...hohum

We didn't do the conversion so i'm afraid we can't help - your more than welcome to take a look at it anytime you wish though if that helps in any way. Our mechanical knowledge is basic at best!

Had a slight problem with Speedograph Richfield or perhaps more to do with Royal Mail. We needed a slightly different thread on the speedo end of the cable so we asked them to change it and post back, this was last wednesdy. Unfortunately it has never arrived. But after just speaking to them they are making a whole new cable up within the next hour for me to go and pick up myself. So not such a problem with them i do not think- and their customer service seems very good.
