Speed drive pinion

I seem to have been a bit of a numpty.

Somehow whilst removing the Gearbox I have managed to loose the speedo drive pinion, I could really do with one so I don't get a ticket ;)

looks a bit like this : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350423301953?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_877wt_905

It for a 1725 with an O/D

Alternatively I would consider buying a spare gearbox O/D if anyone's got one.

Have you gota satnav Will? If you have you can use the speedo built into that for the time being. Peggy's speedo was massively pessimistic anyway.

Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't it used to be acceptable to have + or - 10% error but now the error should always be an over-read[?]

My satnav has a trip meter on it as well so I can work out the consumption from that. With the Speedo being massively out I didn't even bother checking the odometer for accuracy.

Speedo shouldn't under-read but most if not all over-read from the factory. Peggy's read about 57 when she was doing 70!
