spare wheel carrier

has any one got a spare wheel carrier for pb, this is the one that is hung under the chassis , or can any one lend me one to copy, i am now going to finnish this project if it kills me ! surprise its a ex gpo bt van in yellow , after 10 years under a sheet it will be like a flower bursting from its pod, or maybe left green eh, any way i have many spare parts i shall be sorting in the future and posting here on the forum , i cleared out a bt maintainace depot 20 years ago, great forum , lets see how many we can keep on the road !

Yellow or green don't mind either way cross my eyes with pic's & might be able to help with the wheel carrier :D[}:)]:D

greetings :Dwell i have bits like rad hoses , brake pipes , doorhinges , threaded bushs for susspension arms , wiper blades, petrol caps , window drop mechanisms , various bits and bobs, i will be making list in future when time permits , dont worry !

"SYBHIL" & N0.1 hi chris ! :D if you are in need of any bits let me know i havnt got all pars in the parts book , but who knows i may have the part you need [?] would be great if you can help me obtain a wheel carrier, one bit i am short of i think a thief took mine of my undoing the bolts at the back cos i had a small padlock on the catch, he must have been desperate for a 185+14 ! cheers ,

the yellow is standard bt golden yellow wich is darker than say british rail yellow for instance , dhl use a simalar shade the only probs with this is it atracts the flies and wasps ! ouch !

commerjules was breaking a van so may still have a wheel carrier?
you have woolfy near you he may be easiest location wise if you needed to copy one?
I probably have a spare, just not sure of condition as still on spares van (tyres are flat & no time at the momment for the old girls :()
Funny though, sybhil has a small padlock & no spare wheel [:0]She came like it when I bought her.

I know all about yellow cars and wasps - from personal experience! (I have this little yellow car you see ;)

Thanks martin , good to talk commer again, last time was in the ninties when i attended the hillman rootes club meets , it won 2nd prize back then !as a matter of interest the van is fitted with a perkins 4.108 with automatic transmission plus overdrive fitted, true driving relaxation ! it is a neat bit o kit really covering many thousands of miles in comfort , i will be returning it to its former glory in time for the commer van fan meets next year !
