I've been having some work done on my garden recently and as with all building work it has taken a lot longer than expected (still not finished) and cost an inordinate amount of money. My drive way has been taken up with a skip for the past two weeks so I parked my camper further up my road but it wasn't outside anybody's house. However one of my charming neighbours left this lovely note on the windscreen.

Really pisses me off when people think they own the public highway and can dictate who uses it. I bet they have a boring, recession white Audi or something and can't handle the commer being different.
 
Some one must think it's outside their house so why not go and knock on the door of the nearest house and ask them if they put the note on and if it is causing an inconvenience, then punch them on the nose for their cheek[}:)][:(!]

Seriously you need to find out which neighbour it was other wise you could end up falling out with all the neighbours. Obviously who ever it was is a wimp or he/she would have personally asked you to move it.:(

It's not parked outside someone's house it's sort of next to massive wall of a garden on an adjoining road. It's probably one of the people opposite but I know a couple of them but to be honest it's more likely to be some random person with metal illness who rarely ventures out. I'm not that bothered who wrote it, I just found the note so offensive it actually made me laugh!

I just realised, the mystery note writer has given me a choice, I can "either move it" or I can "park outside my own house". Based on those choices I'm going to move it 4ft further along the road. Ha!
 
May I suggest you park it with a notice in the window stating that: "This is a public highway which is not outside your house and this is a classic vehicle which is both taxed and has an MOT. Provided I do not cause an obstruction, or infringe the Highway Code, I am entitled to park it here. If this causes you an inconvenience, I apologise, but please feel free to discuss the problem with me. The van also has a camera fitted!"

Remember the roads are public, meaning you can park your automobile where ever you like.

you can get a camera off ebay for not a lot of money worth it
especially if you put renaulvations note in the window
surely sad person would approach to read it ?

I'm not that bothered really. I still haven't moved it, there hasn't been any more notes. If it does escalate to vandalism then I'll just knock on every door on the street until I find out who it is. Hopefully that won't happen, to be fair I know a lot of people locally and generally people like to see the camper out and about so I just think it's some sad old loner who left the note.

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.
