Hi guys. Havent been on here for ages but lots going on in my life. Unfortunately I am going to have to sell Skye [V] Had a bad time recently with the credit crunch. I don't have enough time now for her and would love to see her go to someone who can love her as much as I have - and still do. This was taken at the last meet in the New Forest. It's a Haylette Olympian, quite a rare conversion. The one in the background is the only other we know of.

Debs has kept it well maintained and it just needs a small amount of cosmetic work :p Hope you don't mind me commenting Debs ;)

Hi all, i'm Andy from Oxford and with partner Sarah the proud new owners of Skye. Obviously gutted for Debs, however rest assured, she will be well looked after and loved. We have had a little bonding already. On roote we filled up with plenty of dry water, by Bristol the clutch de-seized, but the back firing continued (Probably because we removed the air filter). I was in a following vehicle and charged the duty of driving with sticky clutch to a more experienced driver (Ta CJ). She in now going to have a quick checkup, thereafter time for us to adjust to the new pace of life, and work out what both of those wires do!! This now makes at least two commers in Oxford. Is there some special sign you have to make to fellow commer drivers. I remember beetle bash 90, and seeing "I Think" lots of little and index fingers pertruding. Final question how do you lock the driver and passenger doors "Serious"?

Thanks to Debs for total honesty and integrity with letting skye go, I hope you get another commer soon. Thanks to Mike (Commerade in Oxford) for support, and CJ mate with a lots more knowledge than me. And finally all the forum members, this website and the informative postings have offered a wealth of knowledge, humour and handy advice from buying, servicing and keeping the commers alive.
