Mark, take a look here mate...The flared end (green) is a really good fit over the exhaust pipe you got, if you slit the ford part as red dots then you can clamp it real good!....The blue shows apprx where you will be cutting to join to the down pipe
You will end up cutting about 12'' off the new exhaust
Well, non stop rain in sunny ole Dorset today so didn't do a lot
Got my nice shiny new D type solonoid today so hopefully the sun will shine 2moz, if not I guess I'll go and get wet lol
Here's a few pics for Mark....(and anyone else who's interested) of how I mounted/routed Smurfs exhaust...
welded Ford part onto downpipe...
ford part slit and clamped to muffler
muffler clamped to tail pipe
Used original rear hanger just moved it a bittowards the edge of the van..
nice job colin[^] did you get your overdrive sorted[?]
Dodge Glendale
fitted the new D-type solonoid today...wonder why the old one wouldn't work...
Also managed to fine tune the gear linkage so all gears nice & smooth now[8D]
Put a new seal in the end of the gearbox, where the propshaft goes in, so no more leaks[8D] (Yes there is a circlip Panky)
Can't go road test it properly yet as the tax has run out and I wouldn't chance it...being as I drive at work I just won't chance it
