well, I got the exhaust off...eventually, bit of a pig freeing the bolts to the manifold

there was a 'u' clamp where I assumed the bottom end of the downpipe would be....but no joint? no signs of a weld either?

everything else is off apart from the support bracket and propshaft, i just can't undo the 4 bolts diff end of prop? kept raining on and off so I drowned it in WD40 and came in and opened a nice bottle of red:p

how much modifications will it need on the new exhaust to fit, and also whats the difference on the one you have bought and the mini rc40 one tim recommends:I[?]

difference----lots of ££££'s I'm not that technical Mark, to me it's purely the cost, they both 50mm and will let it breathe better, hence a little more power

i'm sure my one is a bit like buying a jar of tesco value coffee and an RC40 is more like a jar of nescafe

i'm sure Tim will correct me:D:D

Good work Colin [^] use a good fitting ring spanner on the prop bolts........................ i know so borrow one ;)
The main thing with RC40 is its ability to damp out noise, unlike alot of straight throughs. plus its physically small size ;)

Only had an hour or so today, but thought I'd best change the exhaust gasket, just aswell I did I think....

Weather permitting, I will put the new clutch in, in the morning, think I might have to wait for a helping hand to put that heavy gearbox in though, it's one thing getting out on my own but don't know if I can lift it in by myself.

How on earth does one get the top bolt back in??
