Well decided to make the most of the weather and go out for the day instead of playing around with her anymore :)

Had lovely day at Baiter park near Poole Quay... had a few people come and admire her, one wants a van too so hopefully will come here to have a look :D

Colin will prob explain better than me later, but she's not running quite right, not sure why :( seems to tick over too slowly and cuts out when you slow to a stop, then seems ok again...[?] One good thing though didn't have to top up the water :)

Cazz...Missing Smurf being on the road now!!!!

Well, She was running a bit slow, just about not stalling
I just turned the idle screw a quarter of a turn clockwise and she was better

I let her warm up this morning before we set off and the first couple of times we had to stop at junctions she just stopped?? Started again straight away and after that it didn't happen agaain

However she is now running a little fast and a little bit unevenly?

I have got a new Roter arm, distributer cap and points, condenser, plugs and leads to put on but may not have time before next weekend

I might just change the leads as quick enough and see if that makes a difference

I wouldn't of thought anything is still wet from the pump episode, would you?

sounds like a carb problem guys, could also be the pump is a bit limp. but more likely crud in the carb :)

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

Cheers Tim, is there a product we can put in the fuel? we use lead substitute formula already? Or do we have to strip the carb down?

Also I know we a bit Tik lol but waer pump a bit limp?

Also I was wondering if water had been sqirted up the air intake, perhaps the air filter could of got wet, but then surely it would of dried out by now?

[?] don't confuse me Panky lol

What is the best way to clean the carb out [?] would i be able to do it if i knew how lol :I

Cazz...Is smiling again, as Smurf is on the mend!!!!

Check the filter anyway, if it's blocked that could be the problem. While the filter is off and you can see the top of the carb start the engine, give it good a rev and put your hand over the carb. The suction is very strong, and it will pull your hand on quite hard, if there is a little blockage in a jet it is possible to move it by this method. Repeat it a couple of times to make sure, if it doesn't work - sorry about the sore hand ;)

There always seems to be plenty of fuel in the filter, if thats what you mean :I

That sounds easy enough, maybe i'll give it a go when he's at work lol.... took it off today briefly when our neighbour was here and she cut out straight away

If smurf ever has a rodent infestation, blame this guy...

This guy has been injected with the same blue dye you get on your m&m sweeties, they have found it helps to reduce spine injuries...or he just wanted to join your family!

lol yes i did, was quite surprised at the pull it had :) was a bit worried about white smoke that started to come out of various places after a couple of times of doing it :I so rang colin, he said it was probably just oil vapour[?]

It was fine, was ticking over lovely, but only started cutting out when we went out in her on Sunday, so hopefully if Colin finishes early enough he can take her too the petrol station for some juice, and see how she does b4 the weekend... :D
