Smurf's MOT is soon

No he didn't, tut tut, i just looked at the van up on the jack, and thought omg, what if the jack moves or the van rolls forward [:0][B)]
So i went inside so i couldn't see.

Cazz...Is smiling again, as Smurf is on the mend!!!!

Hi there, Helen and I spent Saturday at the testing station. Failed as well:( It was only 2 rear brake pipes that were corroded. They were replaced straight away and now we have 12 months more Commering:D

Yay well done you :D know it has to be done, but hate MOT's... Fingers crossed Colin has fixed the handbrake cable which it failed on, the other bits were advisory, so hopefully we will have 12 mths too soon :D

Want to take her to see PapaSmurf next weekend, he was responsible for her resto :D

I like your style Cazz :D

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"

Sounds like you cracked it Colin - but no adjusting wheel [:0] that's not right. Its part of the bit that holds the brake shoes apart at the bottom - it works like a nut and bolt, the wheel is the head of the bolt, so to speak, so you see it side on and it presses up against the spring that holds the shoes together. It has notches on it that you use to prize it round through a hole in the drum - you need to turn the drum round to line up the hole with the notched wheel. I sincerely hope this makes sense - and the next time you use that trolley jack at the very least put the side jack in as well - but an axle stand is better. If I take a wheel off I always push it underneath the van so if the jack does fail then the van will drop onto the wheel - not me:I
