So the case could have contained a dead cat or a live one - or both versions of the same cat. Or the crap it did contain could actually be useful crap, quantum superpositioon can be very confusing

Bit of a skip-monster , plenty has been saved from them!
But my best (and heaviest to drag home) has to be 2 stained glass panels.
Currently stripped back to bare wood frames and will be re-puttied then joined together to make a screen.

This was going in a skip from an old pud. Salvaged cleaned and has been in my garage for years along with a few old bikes.
