IV got t he cab roof done IV got the brakes working now for the bad bit ,when I got it from Matin the carb was off it came with a carb witch Iv fitted so I can run around the yard ,at the time I didn't check the plugs so I dnt nknow if it was always running rich,
Anyway I have 4 sutty black plugs and she is smokey ,have I got nackered piston rings or is it mixture and what's the quickest way to find out

If the plugs are just sooty then it's probably running very rich short trips around the yard won't help, if they're black with baked on oil then the problem could be elsewhere:I Is there a lot of blow back from the crank case breather?
Well done on the rest of the work by the way - that was quite a task[^]

If it's black smoke, then it's rich mixture. Grey smoke would be oil indicating rings/valve guides
