My Commer is in need of a sender unit , is there a specific one or would any off ebay do ? (from 16 pounds to 80 odd) . Thanks , Ken
 
thanks gents but it's the petrol tank sender , I presume it's the original tank and sender unit . not taken it out but friend 'in the know' checked the unit an said it's not working properly . Actually shows full most of the time then drops to half way and then it's empty !
 
I have a spare from an original tank that was working when it took out. I will look it out for you over the bank holiday weekend.
 
Hi K&T. Sorry but I can’t find it. I have had a good search this morning. Someone must have one. I had a new ally tank from Tim Commer and kept the sender (I thought). I think the replacement tanks come fitted with sender from a Mini.
 
Unfortunately my old ones went to the tip along with the old tanks many years ago.
 
Many thanks for your replies , just need to know of a suitable replacement or will any one do so long as lift is adapted to match the existing one or trial and error jobbie ? I'll check out the mini ones and compare , cheers .
 
Haven't been on for a few days so just read your post. Not sure if you are sorted now but if not, I did come across this company some time ago and made a note for future reference. They are autoinstrumentservices.com and they quote on their website ''Repairs to older electrical gauges including fuel tank sender units and matching to gauges''. Hope this helps.
