Seeing by gas.

When we bought Jennings the previous owner said he had fitted electrical lighting to replace the gas units originally supplied:( Could anyone shed some light:D (sorry) on this set up please.

Also if poss a pic of a Jennings water tank cap as ours was swiped by some low life[:(!] Any dimensions gratefully received.

Can't help with the gas lighting or 'gas mantles' but Moley has some in her Bluebird. they are a gauze element that looks like a small bulb fitted over the gas light fitting. You turn on the gas, light the mantle (it lights with a POP) and it glows white hot - we used to have them in an old caravan years ago[8D] I'll get some pics of the water tank cap tomorrow, it's just like a chrome petrol cap.

MARVELOUS:) I may have to improvise as I`ve yet to see one with 3 tangs but that is what sheds are for. Are there any markings on it[?]

Ref the gas mantles I shall keep an eye on ebay for a set of 4.

It looks like Made in England by Wilmot Breeden Ltd on the tangs and a makers stamp, WB, and the number 1 stamped on the inside of the cap.
I'll be looking for a couple of gas mantles too, lets hope we don't bid against each other. I'll wait until you have yours;)
