A question for you all

Was the scenic run last year a bit too challenging? I already have something in mind for this year, but considering Wales is rather "hilly" - don't want to have any worried faces at the thought of too much brae testing.

It was fun and challenging and certainly tested everyones vans (not quite to the limit) but a more relaxing run out may be in order this time. Hills are fine but I'd like to spend more time looking at the scenery rather than the temperature gauge:I I hate the smell of burning brakes;)

Spare a Commer Guv?
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

Would like to say it was great fun but then I would be a liar, I found it a bit hair raising at times and I wasn,t driving. Hubby enjoyed it thoroughly, so split vote. Would be up for scary, sedate or whatever.[^][}:)]:pquote:

three+one

Thanks for the feedback on the run. I think I'll plan something a bit less taxing on the brakes this time..... Don't want Panky going all wussy on us. ;)

Right, now I am all enthused again, and now have a proper set of wheels in which to attend, I have been looking into what to do for the Saturday run, aided by spending three hours in the car with Baz on Friday on the way to Lowestoft.

One of the things I have found that we went past last year is the Brecon Mountain Railway. Looks quite interesting, and takes about an hour, including a tea stop, and there is also a chance to go around their engineering workshop where they restore the steam engines. If there is enough interest, I will contact them to try to get the group fare discount.

Baz and I have agreed on the run, which will be similar to last year without the twisty steep bit, but there will be one climb and descent in order to get to the same pub for a drink stop. Hopefully the brakes won't be smelling quite so bad this time.

Thoughts please!
