Has anybody swapped their front seats for something more modern? I'm thinking a pair of retro style seats that have bigger bolsters and a headrest.
Problem is I'm a short arse so anything that ends up with the seat base height much higher than the normal seats would result in wooden blocks on my feet!

I've got a pair of MGF seats that I'm going to have a play with, will need some customisation to the mounts and will likely be a higher than Commer originals - mainly due to the deeper base cushion.

My other thoughts were MX5 MK2 seats as they appear to have thinner base cushion but MGF were more plentiful and cheaper ...
 
Hi, changed my seats as my wife had a back operation and the old ones weren’t ideal. They fitted onto the old runners with a bit of fettling ( more luck the judgement) I think they were out of a ford but I think they look quite smart. There a bit close for the hand brake but it all fits, hope this helps.
