Seat base

Hello everyone. Both the rubber seat bases in Jessica's seats are bandly perished. Does anyone know where I could get some more. Failing that is there a vehicle which has the same side seats...

I'll admit I've not seen anything like that - the few seats I've worked on and the ones in my van have ply bottoms (have separate backs and bases & bloomin uncomfy they are too[:0]) - if it came to it could you rustle something up with a sheet of ply and a jigsaw?

My old van had the buckety seats but never had cause to take them out.

you have two options here, the rubber one is exactly the same used on the police minors (i have them on all the pandas i own) as a stronger means to the webbing strips (for big fat coppers) so try morris club (i think they do them) or just use the webbing strips sold by the morris club because they attach in same way, also i would think that woolies trim do them:)

or any other auto upholsters ;) most industrial estates have one :)no.1 has bucket seats might be breaking her if no one wants her [8D]

"RAN"the van FORSALE SOON. "SYBHIL" & N0.1 Probably won't get restored unless I win the lottery.

deffo order some - Molly is has enough standing between her and the open road without me adding to her problems!

thanks again!

just made me think if you are one of the purists then molly for the year should only have the webbing straps, the rubber diagphram was used in the police cars first then adopted from then on, about late sixties early seventies. they do give a slightly bouncier ride compared to the webbing straps which are incredibly comfortable when fitted new as part of seat refurb kit

I'm not a purist... Mol has telescopic shocks, anti roll bar , anti tramp bars, fibreglass panels, Discs, K&N, LCB maifold/ SS exhaust, and a 12G295 mini cooper head...

So basically she looks stock, but has a few "period" modifications.
