seals and rubber help

hi i realised that my camper is probably cold due to the massive gaps at all the doors, so as i live in peterborough and Woolies the trim people are only a few miles away, went there to have them spec some of the trim for my autosleeper. They were very helpful and were interested in the website and this forum, even wanted some pics for their trade newsletter, if anyone wants to replace any seals then ask me and i will let you know which of their codes fits what. PROBLEM though, they cant supply me with a seal for the autosleeper pop top roof, can anyone help ?

There is similar stuff on the market it's just choosing the right one!east kent trim is one that comes to mind, but if you get friendly with your local automotive upholsterer specialist you will probably find he can get it for you a lot cheaper ;)

Lancelot I would very much like to know the relevant parts - we could publish them on the main site and woolies could end up with a few more sales!

Someone has let me know about about another supplier but I don't seem to have updated the site with it yet!

Sent four Commer samples to Woolies recently and they could only match one! Had far more luck with 'C O H Baines', East Kent Trim didn't even reply. It appears to be the cab door seals which are difficult to match up, all the companies come back with a much smaller trim, and that lets in water, beware.
You may be missing the obvious for A-Sleeper roof edging, try Auto-Sleepers, they still use it on the VW Trooper roof, same roof, still going strong! Their service dept are very helpful.:)

Most people seem to have trouble with the door seals. I wonder if a seal that pushes onto the edge of the door opening (like a Minis)would be any better. The part around the wheel arch would be awkward but any salvaged original bits of seal could be used there, just a thought :I

Looks like Mini [8D]
Did you need to trim the little gutter away at the top of the aperture [?]

If you need a roof edging then try the boot seal from ratsport, just had a sample arrive and its a great fit. In fact a big improvement over the original trim!:)

Yes I sell miles (almost literally!) of this seal to VW people. Glad to hear it works great on our vans too. Havent tried it myself as I'm leaving the roof to last.

Anyone know where we can get new window seals. The new cab window is in (Thanks Jules) but the rubber round it is shot.

so does one seal go all the way round or do you need a few? Do you use little clips to hold them on or are they pushed on?
