Scream if you want to go faster !

:D:D:D[:0]

I went out for a blast in our Commer last night and got to just past 65mph before I bottled it ;) It's now runs very comfortably at 50-55mph though.

I was expecting SOME difference with our new 'custom' exhaust and K&N filter (Panky, I seriously owe you a bottle of the red stuff !). However I'm rather blown away by the transformation in overall response and (relative) performance :)

The test run showed some small leaks, so I've bought some exhaust paste today to cure those. Our tailpipe also needs tidying as it's just an offcut but purely a cosmetic change.

Our exhaust noise levels are certainly no worse than with the Commer original, although we now have a deeper note. There is some induction noise from the K&N but minor in the overall scheme of things, as it's soon drowned out by the mechanic fan.

I've not yet fitted our 'SimonBBC' magnetic points, as I wanted to not make too many changes all at once and hit problems which would be difficult to trace. I will now fit and test these in time for our big trip to Glastonbury in a couple of weeks time.

A big cheers to all who've inspired and assisted us on this :)

glad you got it sorted paul [8D]
i can,t recommend this tactic enough to people for any engine, they do need to breath well to work well and most standard exhausts are way too restrictive [xx(]

YAAAAAHHHHH I want to go faster :p

Brilliant - I was hoping to premier the design myself:I;) but I'm so glad it works well. You never know I might be the first on the road with the Rapier version[8D]

superb. Jessica has those mods (no electric fan as yet) and she's really nice to drive. Problem is I never really got to know her properly in her standard form!

Well done for getting it all sorted
