still amazed i found the last starter motor in inverness on a back holiday friday.. thanks for all maybe i'll get her that bling after all

good stuff! Where did you get to? We live in Bathgate (just East of Edinburgh) you may have noticed a distinct lack of commers north of the border.

I actually liberated a van from Inverness last year and we have been to a festival up there for the last two years.

how did you manage to find the starter motor?!

We drove from leeds to St Andrews, then down to Edinburgh then up to Inverness down to Glen Affric (where the starter played up) then up to Inverness for a new starter down the east side of Loch Ness to Glen Coe, Ben Nevis, then to the west coast a few places down to Glasgow for a little while then a fairly relaxed route down to Bath then to London then to Eastbourne where she's now resting. Lovely time was had. ...
the bling is a new chrome vent panel for the front that I was tempted to get after seeing Martins sweet shop display of goodies but went for eyelids.. only in the end.
thanks for the nice comments

was very lucky finding the starter motor. martin gave me the part number and I found a parts place, gave me the number for somewhere else etc.. finally found what seemed to be the only starter left in Inverness so went an d got the part and fitted it a little later

Sounds like you had a great adventure. I love the pics, especially the night time shot with the roof up and the lights on.
